In a short input Lucas will introduce you to simple ways of prototyping and testing using papercuts and video techniques. Afterwards you are welcome to experience a live demonstration of a testing scenario. For a current project on the future of cloud storage solutions Katrin and Lucas want to test some feature prototypes and collect feedback from a relevant crowd. You!

To come up with solutions that matter to their users, their early feedback can come in handy. Am i on the right track with this idea or feature that i think will be the game changer for my user? Only way to get an answer to that question is to test!

With early stage prototyping that concentrates on validating hypothesis about key features and value propositions, rather than on finetuning a facade, you can generate high learnings with low costs.

In this session we will look at techniques of videoprototyping and -testing. Videoprototyping is not only a lean way to get the story of your product transferred into moving pictures. It is also a good way to present UX-flows for digital user interfaces.

For both use cases we use simple papercuts - storyelements or mockups.

In this session we will experiment with live videoprototyping and testing, guiding a few volunteers through a prototype of a digital product, while projecting the test on a screen, hoping to collect even more feedback from the audience.

This form of testing is going to be a prototype too - let's learn from it.
