Max Gilgenmann is a freelance consultant for global supply cooperations in fashion, textiles and accessories. He concentrates his work efforts on the interaction between technology, handicraft and the social, ecologic and economic aspects of textile and consumer goods industries. Currently he consults several leading international textile and consumer goods trade fairs as well as designers, two handicraft manufacturers and a small worker-owned T-shirt factory in Bangladesh.
Max is the technical director of the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin and responsible for its sustainability criteria; a board member of the Fashion Revolution Day Germany; an ambassador and consultant of the Wear It Festival and cooperation partner of the B2B online platform Fashion Sourcebook. Max studied fashion design and technology in the UK and Hongkong, and has five years of experience as consultant and roughly ten in project management in Germany, Brasil and Southeast Asia.
