Karyn has more than 10 years of experience in digital strategy and marketing communication. As Senior Strategic Planner at AKQA Berlin, she manages content and data strategy initiatives and delivers insights into consumer behaviour for clients including Swatch, Audi and Montblanc–among others.
Prior to AKQA, Karyn worked with R/GA and was the driving force behind FutureVision, a dynamic trend intelligence program that helps the agency’s clients to stay ahead of the curve. Before that, she spent four years in New York’s food and beverage industry and played a critical role in popularizing Brasilian cachaça in the US mixology scene.
In addition to transforming tech and consumer trends into strategies for global brands, Karyn brings to the table a unique background as a curator of film and media art. Originally from New York, she co-directed Ocularis, the collective that created Williamsburg’s first alternative cinema in 1997.
Before moving to Berlin, Karyn lived and worked in Spain, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil. She is also a passionate cook, and blends flavors and inspiration from around the world and the web in her Prenzlauerberg kitchen.
